Seasons generally run between May-September and from October-April consisting of about 17-20 week season.

Players are required to train once a week with their teams and generally one game per week on a Saturday morning. Traning times and days are dependant on coach availability.

BMB Bulls also require every coach and team manager to have a Working with childrens check.

All players must fill in and agree to the club waiver allowing the club to use images and video of training and game days to promote the club in the future.

All coaches at our club are screened and must meet certain requirements to coach our teams, inexperienced coaches must work with experienced coaches to develop to a certain level and understanding of the game before being able to Head coach their own team.

Player and Coach development

Player and coach development are focus areas for our club and continued support and help for new parents taking on coaching. Help with training and what skills to teach which age groups and off court development also.

Unlike coaching courses and other development seminars and camps, BMB will provide ongoing coach support on and off the court, working with coaches on planning training sessions, how to develop their players to give them the best chance for success at a senior level, "its not about right now", is a phrase you will hear a lot, continued work with athletes at the club on a regular basis at trainings and other times.

Junior Domestic

The Junior Domestic Competition is set up to operate in co operation with many local school teams as well as local domestic clubs and self-administered teams. These clubs organise players into teams and enter them into competitions run by the Pakenham & District Basketball Association. Competitions are currently run for ‘winter’ (from April to September) and ‘summer’ (October to March) seasons, with breaks over all school holidays.

We offer a wide range of competitions that suit the abilities of our junior players. Age ranges start at Under 8’s and extend to our Under 20’s competition. All junior players must be under the age of the age group they are playing in, as at 31st December, in the year that the playing season commences.

Where team numbers permit, competitions are graded into Divisions. Combined divisions, such as a Div 1/2, may be used to allow more teams to play in a wider competition while supporting a finals series for each Division.
